To enhance user experiences by bringing additional features to a navigation engine, dining technology platfrom Dineout has collaborated with Google. Users now have more options to look at in Google Maps by coming across dining options close to them, reserving a table for the date and time that they want and selecting available offers, The Economic Times reported.

“Our association with Google Maps is a milestone for us and brings us one step closer to providing seamless dining out experience along with empowering restaurants to be tech-enabled in India,” Dineout CEO and Co-Founder Ankit Mehrotra said, according to the report. “With their help, we are co-creating an ecosystem which will help two of our biggest stakeholders — consumers and restaurants at multiple levels.”

Mehrotra continued, “Understanding the demand of visual representation and easy accessibility, we plan to offer a seamless, more convenient and enjoyable experience to our consumers.” And, with the “offers” shortcut on Google Maps, users can leverage the 15,000-plus Dineout partner restaurants in 17 cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, among others.

Dineout reportedly processes over 40 million diner and transactions worth $800 million for its partner restaurants across a network of 40,000 restaurants in 17 cities. Mehrotra, Sahil Jain, Nikhil Bakshi, and Vivek Kapoor founded the company in 2012. Times Internet Limited acquired Dineout in April 2014.

In separate news from July, Google Maps had partnered with India-based table reservation platform EazyDiner to display discounts through the popular navigation app. The startup, which is based in New Dehli, has been in business for five years and has notched more than $13 million in funding.

In an update launched July 11 and announced on Google’s India Blog, users in India will notice three more features within Google Maps, including “offers” located in the explore tab. Offers from more than 4,000 local restaurants will be shown and were live at the time of the report in 11 of the country’s major cities.
