Trovata and J.P. Morgan Asset Management have partnered to make it easier for businesses to invest excess cash.

With this partnership, Trovata will host the Morgan Money investing application within its cash management platform to provide access to trading, analytics and reporting, Trovata said in a Tuesday (Dec. 13) press release.

“Finance and treasury clients are seeking to automate and streamline how their work gets done each day,” Trovata founder and CEO Brett Turner said in the release. “The tools of the job have to be newer, smarter, faster, easy to use and easy to set up. We expect that Trovata and Morgan Money will be the go-to modern toolbox to manage cash and investments.”

The collaboration brings together Trovata’s bank-connected platform that makes it easier to manage cash and J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Morgan Money corporate investing and trading solution, according to the press release.

The combination enables the companies’ joint customers to determine their liquidity needs, transact across their global portfolio in real time and compare funds across different managers, currencies, durations and settlement options, the release said.

Joint customers can also monitor and manage their operating and investing activities in one place because the investment balances and transactions from Morgan Money will flow into Trovata, per the release.

“Now more than ever, corporate treasury investors need a fully integrated trading solution for their liquidity needs,” Paul Przybylski, head of product strategy and Morgan Money at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said in the release. “Bringing two of the newest and fastest growing experiences in corporate finance and treasury together makes for a powerful combination for our customers.”

This partnership comes at a time when rising interest rates mean businesses could generate as much as 4% of low-risk interest income from their idle cash from operations, according to the press release.

“This is why we’re thrilled to partner with J.P. Morgan Asset Management to provide our mutual customers with seamless access to Morgan Money’s services, Trovata said in a Tuesday (Dec. 13) blog post.

Morgan Money offers more than 100 short-term investment solutions managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and other investment management firms. The investment options include money market funds, ultra-short funds and short duration funds, according to the post.

This announcement comes about three months after Trovata announced that Santander has tapped its cash management solution.

Through the partnership, Santander will market Trovata’s platform to its banking partners, Trovata said Aug. 31.
