FinTech startup Yeeld has partnered with Airwallex to accelerate global payments and financial operations for customers.

Yeeld, founded by former Stripe employees Emily Tsitrian and Mira Boora, specializes in assisting businesses of all sizes in integrating or retrofitting their payments acceptance technology, the companies said in a Tuesday (Aug. 22) press release. With the team’s knowledge of financial infrastructure, Yeeld aims to modernize and optimize systems to improve profitability for its clients.

Through the new partnership with Airwallex and its global payments and financial platform, the startup plans to expand further into the FinTech and payments space, according to the release.

Tsitrian emphasized in the release the importance of international payments for the growth and expansion of leading global companies. Airwallex’s approach to international payments and global financial infrastructure facilitates the type of growth Yeeld’s clients expect, and the partnership with Airwallex will enable Yeeld to deliver innovation in this space.

Jessica Chiu, vice president of strategic partnerships at Airwallex, highlighted in the release the need for businesses to have the right mix of global payments and financial technology to simplify their operations in today’s environment. Airwallex provides solutions to manage payments, treasury, spend management and embedded finance, enabling businesses of all sizes to scale across borders.

Earlier this month, Airwallex joined forces with venture investing platform OurCrowd to make it easier to invest in startups. This partnership lets institutions and individuals invest in startups anywhere, with their own local currency and with a single button click.

“Until now, when making a startup investment, investors had to convert their local currency into U.S. dollars and then wire it,” Airwallex said in a news release at the time. “With this new partnership, OurCrowd’s investors from over 195 countries can invest in global startups on a digital platform … with favorable terms.”

Airwallex said July 19 it is helping global spend platform Brex with its worldwide expansion by providing offerings such as local currency collections for the FinTech’s global corporate credit card and employee expense reimbursements.
