Classics, action, new episodes — PYMNTS’ latest Provider Ranking of Streaming Apps has it all. This month, some contenders remain where they were last time, some move up a spot or two in the rankings, and one joins the top 10.

Just three points separate the scores of the top three apps, so it’s a tight race. Now, let’s see what’s playing.

The Top 5

Holding on to its spot at the top is YouTube, which records a score of 92.

Just one point behind is Netflix. With a score of 91, it retains the second spot in the rankings.

Also remaining in the position it was in last time is Disney+. This app sits at No. 3 with a score of 89.

In the No. 4 spot, we have two contenders tied with a score of 86. Spotify holds the same position in the rankings as last time but now shares it with Amazon Prime Video, which has improved its score by three points and jumped two levels in the rankings — making it one of this month’s movers and shakers.

Three points behind with a score of 83 is Pluto TV, which keeps its place at No. 5.

The Top 10

Moving up one spot to sixth in the rankings is Hulu, which records a score of 79.

Leaping two levels is CBS — Full Episodes and Live TV. This app now rests at No. 7 with a score of 77.

Making a return appearance at No. 8 is Amazon Music, which achieves a score of 75.

Gaining one spot in the rankings is Twitch, which scores 72 and lands at No. 9.

Joining the top 10 this month and rounding out the list is Funimation, an American entertainment company that specializes in the dubbing and distribution of East Asian media. It joins this elite group with a score of 69.
