US Pickup Economy Heats Up as Consumers Ditch At-Home Delivery Curbside and in-store pickup saw a 37% increase in usage among U.S. consumers, who are happy to trade delivery fees for delivery immediacy when buying grocery and retail products online. At the same time, the “2023 Global Digital Shopping Index,” a collaboration with Cybersource, reports U.S. merchants losing ground year over year as they eliminated features that are important when consumers decide who gets their business.
