Spanish B2B payments firm Voxel has launched a collaboration with Diners Club Spain to promote B2B payments in the travel industry.

As Travel Daily News reported Friday (Feb. 11), the agreement makes Diners Club Spain a payment provider for Voxel’s baVel Pay platform, which means all companies connected to Voxel’s Payment Manager can use services provided by Diners Club Spain with no need to carry out a specific integration.

“Automation from start to finish of the B2B payment process in the travel industry is now a reality thanks to the new functionalities that have been recently added to baVel Pay’s platform,” said Àngel Garrido, CEO of Voxel.

In addition, “payment providers such as Diners Club Spain are increasingly requesting to join baVel Pay’s ecosystem, consolidating and supporting the Open Payment Alliance proposal that Voxel has been implementing,” Garrido added.

baVel Pay is a platform designed to transmit payments between companies in the travel industry. It can automatically articulate a sophisticated flow of B2B payments from start to finish, without errors or frictions, while leveraging an ecosystem of payment providers such as Diners Club Spain. Voxel says its Payment Manager is the tool of its kind on the market to implement the Open Payment Alliance standards defined by HEDNA and HTNG.

“We are delighted to be collaborating with Voxel on this project,” Jessica Püttmann, marketing and communications manager of Diners Club Spain.

“Voxel offers a payment platform with international presence that is highly integrated with the hospitality sector and with the main booking systems used in the travel market. Together we will be able to offer an agile payment process to our clients that helps optimize their internal processes and provides them with greater liquidity.”

Last year, Voxel acquired Australian-based Troovo, with plans to incorporate Troovo’s Robotic Process Automation technology into the baVel platform.

Voxel said then that the integration means a “frictionless process is achievable, enabling better business outcomes,” adding that the baVel would be able to handle the entire eBilling and payment cycle.
