As part of the joint effort, Paynetics grants the mobile-first platform the capability to issue compensation payments via digital payment cards on smartphones.

“We are very pleased to be working with Paynetics on transforming the disruption experience so that travelers and airlines can benefit from the FinTech user experience to alleviate major pain points in their journey,” Swiipr founder and CEO Tara Spielhagen Hale wrote on LinkedIn.

Paynetics CEO Mike Peplow said on LinkedIn that his company is “thrilled” to collaborate with Swiipr.

“They are revolutionizing the way the airline industry handles travel disruptions, offering instant, hassle-free mobile payments for passengers,” Peplow said.

Swiipr, which was founded in 2019, can deliver solutions to passengers’ mobile devices and wallets through its Swiipr X digital platform. The solution was designed with airlines in mind and includes various features such as self-service and contactless digital offerings, as well as key passenger details, hotels, transport solutions and embedded finance.
