This capability is enabled by ShipStation’s new Ship with Walmart solution, which allows Walmart Marketplace sellers to purchase eligible labels, access seller protections and manage Walmart Marketplace orders directly within their existing ShipStation workflow, according to the release.

Ship with Walmart adds Walmart Marketplace orders to the other orders across multiple selling channels that sellers can manage on ShipStation. The platform’s multichannel dashboard also includes Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, eBay and other connected storefronts, the release said.

Sellers can activate Ship with Walmart through ShipStation, purchase eligible labels alongside their existing carrier accounts and have it available as an additional option alongside their existing shipping setup, per the release.

Ship with Walmart in ShipStation currently supports only U.S. domestic shipments.

“Sellers shouldn’t have to choose between the tools they rely on every day and the benefits their marketplace offers them,” Matt Norman, vice president, strategic business development at ShipStation, said in the release. “Ship with Walmart closes that gap. Sellers get Walmart-negotiated rates and seller protections, including up to $100 of order protection, all within the ShipStation platform.”

Walmart Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey said in April that Walmart’s marketplace business was growing at a 20% rate. Some categories, such as home, hardlines and fashion, were growing at a rate greater than 30%.

Walmart’s marketplace has also been adding sellers. As of the holiday season, the retailer had three times the number of sellers it had a year earlier. Walmart also had half a billion stock-keeping units (SKUs) on its marketplace, and aimed to grow that number to continue adding its assortment, Rainey said.

ShipStation announced earlier this year that less-than-truckload freight shipping is now available directly in its platform, that the company now offers an implementation partner program that provides businesses with hands-on services to implement complex workflows and configure ShipStation around how they operate, and that the company launched a suite of artificial intelligence-powered capabilities to help merchants handle eCommerce logistics.
