It seems the users of delivery apps feel those apps are delivering the goods, as three of the four top-ranked contenders in PYMNTS’ latest Provider Ranking of Gig Economy Apps are focused on delivery services.

There’s been some movement in the rankings as well, most notably at the top spot.

The Top 5

The new leader is Uber Driver, which moves up one level in the rankings to take the top spot. The ridesharing app earns a score of 95. As that’s two points higher than its score last month, the app is also one of this month’s movers and shakers.

Just one point behind is the previous leader, DoorDash. The prepared-food delivery service brings a score of 94.

Holding the No. 3 spot is Instacart. The grocery delivery and pick-up app holds on to the position it had last month with a score of 80.

Also holding its previous position is Grubhub for Drivers. This prepared food ordering and delivery marketplace serves up a score of 70 this month.

Continuing the trend, Fiverr retains its previous spot at No. 5, now with a score of 67.

The Top 10

There’s a familiar name at the sixth position in the rankings too as Amazon Flex holds on with a score of 63.

At No. 7, Lyft Driver holds the spot it held last month, but no longer has to share it with another competitor. With a score that’s five points higher than last month — now at 58 — this app is this month’s biggest mover and shaker.

Three points behind with a score of 55 is Upwork. This app has slipped one position in the rankings since last month but, with a score that’s two points higher than last month, it’s also a mover and shaker.

At No. 9, there’s a return to stability, with TaskRabbit holding this spot as it did last month. This app checks in with a score of 50.

Rounding out this month’s top 10 is Freelancer. This Australian crowdsourcing marketplace website has dropped two positions in the rankings, landing at No. 10 with a score of 48.
