Foodpanda Goes Cashless With Mobile Payment Option

A product of German Incubator—Rocket Internet— mobile food delivery app Foodpanda has often been accused of being behind the times in comparison to its competitors GrubHub or JustEat insofar as there was no mobile payment option available through the service. Foodpanda could help one pay for food online, but paying for it could still require a trip to the ATM.

As of now, this problem is no more, reports The Next Web, as Foodpanda has made the jump to all inclusive mobile service that now lets user pay for what order all at once.

There is a catch with the new service– the option is only available if restaurants support online payment and is integrated into Foodpanda’s system. Luckily, Foodpanda claims it is up, running and operational all over the world with its mPay option, and is working to refine the service globally in the coming weeks.

Rocket Internet, Foodpanda’s parent, has been accused in the past of being a “clone factory” that essentially spits out copy products of already successful businesses.
