Businesses Enter New Equipment Rental E-Marketplace

As small- and medium-sized companies focus on managing cash flow and ensuring they have enough capital to procure necessary items and equipment, there are often obstacles faced even after they have the money to buy.

Now, a new online marketplace has emerged to aid businesses in renting and sourcing specialized equipment that reduces some of those difficulties. KWIPPED revealed Tuesday (Feb. 24) that it has launched KWIPPED.com, a platform through which businesses and rental suppliers can connect and gain access to more than 500 categories of specialized equipment.

“Companies that rely on rental equipment often face roadblocks – many that can hinder project turnaround and even hurt profits,” KWIPPED Founder and CEO Robert Preville said. “From time wasted on sourcing, to limited availability, to a lack of trust between involved parties, the challenges of renting equipment can be overcome with a platform like KWIPPED.”

The marketplace emerged from Preville’s own experiences with these renting hurdles, the company said. As the founder and former CEO of test equipment rental and distributor site GlobalTestSupply.com, Preville said he pinpointed particular areas of friction felt by companies looking to rent equipment, and built KWIPPED on the foundation of easing that friction.

According to the company, KWIPPED is the world’s first online rental portal for the B2B industry.

While businesses can gain increased access to the machinery and tools they need to run their business, suppliers increase visibility to potential customers. KWIPPED matches suppliers’ inventory to the specific needs of renters, and suppliers can bid to rent out specific equipment or display their entire product base.

B2B buyers are more likely than ever to shop online for the products and services they need, and will turn to third-party sites like Amazon if supplier homepages don’t offer an easy way to buy. With its new marketplace, KWIPPED is taking advantage of the digital migration of B2B shoppers for B2B renters.
