VARStreet Integrates With SAP For B2B Synchronization

Software provider VARStreet has now been integrated with SAP Business One, according to a press release.

VARStreet serves IT and office supply value-added resellers (VARs) and its modules come with a modern eCommerce platform, advanced sales quotation software, a CRM, a procurement tool and catalog integrations with over 45 distributors in the U.S. and Canada.

The integration with SAP was recently completed and will involve the synchronizing of customer information, shipping and billing details, product information, pricing, inventory information, fulfilment and other things between SAP Business One and VARStreet back office and the front-end applications for eCommerce.

This integration, according to the release, lets mutual users of both applications access smoother ways to complete business tasks in fields like financial and accounting management, tracking sales quotations and the sales pipeline, eCommerce or inventory tracking and customer data handling.

Shiv Agarwal, director of VARStreet Inc, said, “These integrations increase the efficiency of the sales process and provide VARStreet users who also use SAP a best-in-class experience by seamlessly connecting business-critical applications and allowing them to focus on what matters most, which is increasing customer satisfaction, revenue and growth!”

Corevist Co-founder and CEO Dr. Sam Bayer, Ph.D. told PYMNTS that the integration is one way to help combat frictions and complexities in the B2B landscape. Corevist recently integrated with electronic payments company Delego (which is also SAP-affiliated) and said the integration helped it display its own unique business rules stored within the SAP ERP system. The Delego connection now lets Corevist access electronic bill payment.

Bayer said integration was important for B2B processes, and that the digitization journey has mimicked Amazon’s, in the way it strives to provide a “consumer-like” shopping experience for businesses.

Amazon has its own B2B market, Amazon Business, though Bayer says he doesn’t think that will become any kind of a disruptor in the space, rather than energizing it as everyone else gets on board.
