Jumio Intros Orchestration Layer for KYX Platform

Artificial intelligence (AI) identity verification startup Jumio has launched an intuitive, no-code orchestration layer for its KYX Platform that pulls together a full suite of risk and fraud detection tools, the company said in a press release emailed to PYMNTS.

The provider of end-to-end identity verification, electronic know your customer (eKYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) solutions said in the release its new orchestration layer provides an integrated solution to address identity proofing, compliance verifications and AML use cases. Jumio said that after pioneering the ID + selfie approach to identity verification, it’s now building out its capabilities to address the needs of business clients.

Now offering a multi-layered approach to end-to-end risk detection, the KYX Platform has flexible workflows and provides a “holistic view” when verifying a customer and revealing any underlying risks, according to the release.

“Jumio’s next-generation KYX orchestration platform reimagines the process from one-off authentication to holistic user recognition and verification,” said Jumio CEO Robert Prigge in the release.

Prigge added, per the release, that the platform puts the business client at the heart of verification, instead of seeing all users “as potential threats.”

“This delivers a more seamless user experience that verifies consumer or employee data coupled with enhanced authentication using a document such as a government-issued ID,” he said in the release.

The added orchestration layer leverages the platform’s identity verification technology to tackle security breaches and the compromise of personally identifiable information (PII), the release stated. Jumio uses government-issued ID and other sources to verify consumers’ identities fast. The platform also enables enterprises to develop their own workflows.

“Our intent is to take the heavy lifting of fraud prevention out of the hands of our customers,” said Jumio Chief Product Officer Bala Kumar in the release. “By leveraging our KYX Platform, complete with flexible workflows, no-code orchestration and multi-layered risk signals, organizations can assess not only the risk of the individual, but also the devices associated with them, the IDs they furnish and their facial biometrics — all in one platform through a single API layer.”
