Crowdsourced-Shopping Site The Hunt Nabs $10 Million In Investment From Khosla

The Hunt offers and interesting variation on crowdsourced shopping--it allows users to post snap shots of retail items like clothing or home goods and then post them and get other users trying to hunt them down.

It is an approach that has garnered attention and as a result The Hunt has just raised $10 million from Khosla Ventures and Javelin Ventures, bringing their total funding to $15.5 million.  As part of the deal, Khosla's Ben Ling will join The Hunt’s board.

The site has already garnered celebrity interest and received investments from the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks among others.

The Hunt's next move is to pursue mobile more aggressively with their new phone app.  The company's CEO thinks eventually The Hunt could be a mobile only business.
