Chris Cox, a Citi veteran with almost 14 years of experience at the bank who has served in numerous leadership roles, was named global head of trade and working capital solutions at Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), a division of Citigroup’s Institutional Clients Group.

When Cox starts the new role on Dec. 1, he will be tasked with developing all aspects of the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) franchise and will have “end-to-end responsibility covering product, sales and operations,” Shahmir Khaliq,  global head of TTS, said in an announcement emailed to PYMNTS on Tuesday (Oct. 12).

“All global trade product and functional heads, as well as regional trade heads, will report to him,” Khaliq said, adding that Cox would report to him and will work out of London.

Prior to that, Cox led the Australia and New Zealand markets franchise.

Until a successor is found and approved, Cox will maintain his accountability for securities services under the U.K.’s Senior Managers Regime.
