Citi Names Goldman Sachs Veteran Artie Ambrose Head of TTS Operations

Citi has appointed Artie Ambrose as head of its Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Operations division effective Aug. 1, reporting directly to Nicola Kane, head of ICG Operations, and matrix into Shahmir Khaliq global head of TTS.

As head of TTS Operations, Ambrose will be tasked with developing a strategy that drives scalability while reducing processing risk, enhancing products and services through automation, and boosting customers’ overall experience with Citi, according to a statement provided to PYMNTS on Tuesday (June 28).

Focusing on digitization and tapping the latest technology advancements, Ambrose and his team will collaborate with TTS Product and Technology to drive forward the TTS Product and Sales strategy.

Ambrose brings to the TTS Operations leadership role many years of combined expertise in organizational transformation and risk management. He was most recently global head of treasury services operations at Goldman Sachs, where he had a hand in developing the bank’s digital corporate and consumer banking divisions.

Before his treasury role, Ambrose was Goldman’s chief operating officer for global operations; global head of liquidity, collateral, income and expense; and global head of FX, Treasury, funding and reference data operations, among other roles.

At Goldman Sachs, Ambrose had a track record of bringing about improvements by assessing business functions, which led to increased efficiencies and better client services, according to the statement. He was also a “champion of the firm’s diversity and inclusion, talent development and leadership efforts.”
