Online Retail Commerce Grows In Hungary

New data from Eurostat reported that online retail sales in Hungary are on the rise and have reached €610 million, compared to the €555 million in 2011.

    Hungary’s online retail commerce has increased from 2.4 percent of the total retail trade in 2011 to about 2.9 percent at the end of 2012. By 2013 online retail commerce sales are expected to jump by another 20 percent.

    At present, there are roughly 68 percent of Hungarian consumer houses that have Internet connection and about 1.6 million (out of 9.9 million) are estimated to be online shoppers.
