PSCU, the payments credit union service organization (CUSO) has been selected by True North Federal Credit Union for its credit and debit processing work, a PSCU press release said.

True North, which is based in Juneau, Alaska, has been in existence since 1948.

The company contributes to various civic and nonprofit organizations, along with helping with various recreational and charity events serving local communities.

The company has over $205 million in assets and wanted a partner with “quality and communication,” along with a provider that would be in line with the “level of service its members have come to expect from their credit union.”

“Our team has been watching PSCU closely, and we were impressed with everything the CUSO has accomplished over the past several years, as well as how dynamic it has become,” said Lauren MacVay, president and CEO of True North. “We are pleased to partner with an organization that demonstrates such a consistent commitment to credit unions, as we feel confident PSCU is well-positioned to best lead us into the future.”

Meanwhile, PSCU Chief Revenue Officer Scott Wagner said True North’s “people helping people” philosophy, which follows the credit union’s general philosophy, was a reason for the partnership.

PSCU will begin providing services to True North’s over 12,600 members in October this year.
