    Citi has joined forces with Mastercard to expand its payment exchange options for its institutional clients. Citi announced in a news release on Wednesday (April 21) that corporate and public sector Citi Payment Exchange clients can now integrate Mastercard Send to transmit funds to consumer debit or prepaid card accounts. This arrangement makes Citi the largest global treasury bank using Mastercard Send.

    To allow distributors and vendors to take payments by credit card “without any merchant fees,” payment platform Plastiq has collaborated with accounts receivable (AR) automation provider Billfire. The connection offers a smooth and enhanced experience for Billfire clients, according to a Wednesday (April 21) announcement. The ability to take payments via credit card “without paying a merchant fee” brings digital payment functionalities to a broader array of sectors and suppliers.
