The partnership, announced Monday (Feb. 5), lets Wix merchants tap into automation to manage each stage of fulfillment with shipping quotes for shoppers’ various service needs.
“In today’s economy, consumers are in the driver’s seat, and it’s critical that merchants of all sizes are equipped with a seamless delivery process that meets, and even exceeds, their expectations,” said Doug Ladden, CEO and co-founder of Deliveright. “We’re thrilled to support Wix merchants with the most current shipping technology to help mitigate supply chain problems and improve customer experience with the complete visibility needed to oversee shipments and meet consumer demand.”
“This partnership with Deliveright will add true value to our merchant users,” added Shelly Cohen, head of eCommerce business development at Wix. “Deliveright are experts in heavy goods and special handling shipping, and this collaboration enhances our existing shipping solutions and adds more shipping coverage and options for our users.”
The partnership comes at a time when the appeal of faster services has become a crucial component of the modern eCommerce experience, as PYMNTS wrote last month, helping to guide purchasing decisions and shaping consumer expectations.
Speed is a critical factor, as consumers increasingly pick businesses that can deliver their purchases quickly, that report said. Fast shipping, especially a service that is cheap or free, is something consumes value, especially amid challenging economic times when budgets are constrained.
The combination of fast delivery at a cost-effectiveness price has become a winning combination, improving the overall online shopping experience and setting businesses apart in a busy eCommerce landscape.
There is also data to support this claim. According to findings detailed in the latest report in the PYMNTS Intelligence “Real-Time Payments Tracker® Series,” done in collaboration with The Clearing House, 78% of online shoppers say they seek same-day or next-day shipping when making a purchase.
The need for faster and free services also extends to online returns, with separate PYMNTS Intelligence research showing that more than 30% of American consumers place a high priority on free online returns, considering it extremely important.
