The new PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Mobile Order-Ahead (MOA) apps may make some developers a little queasy, while others will be ordering everything on the menu in celebration.
There’s been a series of meaningful shifts, which lead to questions. Who’s buying all this coffee? Which came first, the chicken or the wings? And seriously, burgers … what’s up?

The Top 5
America runs on what? You know what. The Dunkin’ app rises one spot to grab No. 1 on the latest PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Mobile Order-Ahead apps, helped along undoubtedly by its “free coffee February” promo (so smart), moving the Domino’s Pizza app down to No. 2.

Starbucks also drops one chart position to land at No. 3 this time around, while (and this is pretty big) old faithful Pizza Hut rises like a perfectly baked crust three whole spots to alight at No. 4 in the latest Provider Ranking of Mobile Order-Ahead apps.
Representing dreamy tortillas at No. 5 is Taco Bell, whose in-app features got fatter in recent months, clearly resulting in more downloads and, presumably, mas tacos.
The Top 10
Continuing into the bottom half of the Top 10, we find the popular Chick-Fil-A dropping one to No. 6, followed by Panera Bread likewise dropping one spot to land at No. 7 this month.
This may be an aristocracy thing, but the mighty Burger King app is unmoved at No. 8.
It gets really interesting now. Hold onto your iced coffees and burritos with both hands.
Papa John’s Pizza pops back into PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Mobile Order-Ahead apps at No. 9 after an absence, possibly put there by Superbowl promos. They’re on a run lately.
And that’s not all. The Wingstop app flies back into the Top 10 at No. 10.
