Food delivery and payments tech company Waitr will be working with the New Orleans Saints to add in-stadium ordering options for the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a press release said Tuesday (Aug. 2).
It will allow fans in some sections to order food from their phones, using the new ASAP app, at any Saints home game.
The deal with an NFL team is another in a series for Waitr, which has also partnered with the New York Jets and New York Giants.
And the release noted that Waitr will soon change its name to ASAP as well.
According to the company, fans can access the service by scanning QR codes on the concourse, or downloading the ASAP app. Notifications will tell them when their order is ready for pickup.
“We’re excited to provide this unique stadium experience for some of the best fans in the NFL,” said Carl Grimstad, CEO and chairman of Waitr Holdings. “Our proprietary in-stadium ordering technology provides what we consider an essential service, because it allows Saints fans to skip the concession lines and pick up their order without missing any of the game action.”
The rebrand to ASAP will happen within the next few weeks and the company will expand it delivery to include food, alcohol, luxury, sporting goods, auto parts and electrical products.
PYMNTS wrote that Waitr’s partnership with Burq, a software logistics delivery provider, will help it expand into its broader delivery model.

The agreement lets Waitr deliver from retailers in numerous sectors, including large and smaller businesses. Burq works with many companies including alcohol and ethnic grocery stores that have unusual products.
“Our vision is to provide same-day delivery of a wide range of items our customers need and want,” said Grimstad. “We believe this new partnership with Burq is another noteworthy step toward accomplishing our mission.”
