The integration with UberEats, Grubhub, DoorDash and Postmates is now available to all Snack POS customers, the company said in a Wednesday (June 7) press release.
“Our mission has always been to provide restaurant owners and operators with innovative solutions that simplify their operations and enhance their overall efficiency,” Snack POS Chief Operating Officer Rohan Patange said in the release. “This integration eliminates the need for multiple tablets, ensuring a seamless order management process and improved customer service.”
The new integration enables restaurants to receive all delivery orders directly into the Snack POS system, according to the release.
This eliminates the need for multiple tablets and for manually transferring order information from one tablet to another, the release said.
It also allows restaurants to update inventory in real time, coordinate with their delivery partners and connect with popular third-party delivery applications to reach new customers, per the release.
“By centralizing all delivery orders through the Snack POS system, restaurants can bid farewell to the hassle of constantly juggling multiple tablets, reducing the chances of errors, and optimizing their order management process for maximum effectiveness,” the company said in the release.
PYMNTS research has found that the base of third-party food aggregator users has remained steadfast and engaged due to the ability to try new restaurants and the convenience and control these platforms provide.
Particularly high shares of Generation Z consumers (69%) and those earning more than $100,000 a year (48%) continue to use food aggregators.
In another development in the restaurant sector, Shift4 and OpenTable announced May 24 that they have partnered to allow diner booking data from OpenTable’s restaurant technology to be combined with spending data captured by Shift4’s SkyTab POS system.
This collaboration gives restaurant operators a more holistic view of their business and helps them identify opportunities to increase revenues and reduce costs.
About a month before that, Wix announced a new integration with Square and said it will help restaurants streamline their ordering.
Restaurant owners who use Square for Restaurants or Square Point of Sale platforms can now manage their catalogs directly from the Wix platform.
